The course presents the basic research methods in the scientific field of speech pathology. Particular emphasis will be given to understanding experimental examples in communication disorders. Upon completing the course, students can analyze the components of a research study and design simple research studies using their acquired knowledge. Part of the course will focus on understanding the sections of “Introduction,” “Methodology,” “Results,” and “Discussion” in a research article or a literature review.
